"My tree"
We were there during Holy Week - people were always walking to the churches.
After we went to the beach front Asa took us on a ride around town. This is an area between the university & the big church.
I guess the building codes are the same throughout all of ET.
Asa then took us to the other luxurious hotel on the lake. We walked around & then headed to the little outdoor cafe for drinks while we watched the sunset. It was such a beautiful evening. These buildings have thatched type roofs that are covered in monkeys. Monkeys are everywhere here & they don't bother the people - so different from Asia.
HG working her charm - she never had to walk if she didn't want to
Beautiful sunset
This represents ALL the Ethiopian tribes. Both of EJ's are on here.
There is this park area that is surrounded by a gate. On the gate they have signs representing each of the Ethiopian tribes. I tried to get both of EJ's tribes but of course we were in the moving van.
After all the sightseeing we headed back to the hotel. We were exhausted. We grabbed a bite to eat there, thought we'd go walk around but were too tired to check everything out. HG put on her jammies, we went down to the lobby to skype to the boys & then went back up to the room to crash for the evening. Cande was able to stay up (she wasn't emotionally drained like we were). This is when she was able to post all those pics on facebook.
Andy & I had a lot to process in our minds from that day. ALOT to remember & cherish. This was a day I will never forget.
